Tel Aviv beaches: which one to choose

Tel Aviv has a long, continuous stretch of sandy beach with a promenade running beside it, so the best beach is mostly a question of mood. From Florentin the sea is close, and you can pick a quiet morning swim or a lively afternoon.

Tel Aviv beaches: which one to choose

Near Jaffa and Florentin

Charles Clore Beach is the closest large beach to Florentin, about 1.6 km from the hotel, and a good starting point if you also want to see Jaffa.

The central beaches

Further north along the promenade you will find the busy central beaches, with cafés, sports areas and the classic Tel Aviv beach atmosphere. Friday afternoon is when it comes alive.

Swimming safely

Swim at beaches where lifeguards are on duty during the season, and follow the flag signs. The sea can have strong currents, so ask the lifeguards if you are unsure.

Mornings and sunsets

Early morning is the calm time for a swim or a walk. At the end of the day the promenade is a good place to watch the sunset.

Getting there

From the hotel it is a walk of around 15 minutes to the beachfront promenade, or a short ride on a shared bike or taxi.
